Product details
Safety-Silv® 50 Brazing Alloy HARRIS
Safety-Silv® 50 is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy developed for joining copper, steel, and brass alloys across industrial and HVAC applications. The alloy offers a plastic range of approximately 175°F (70°C), allowing operators to work effectively in situations where joint fit-up cannot be tightly controlled.
Its wide melting range supports filling of loose connections while still allowing proper penetration into tighter joints, making it suitable for fabrication, maintenance, and repair brazing operations.
Corrosion resistance is generally comparable to copper base metals, but zinc-containing alloys should not be used where brazed joints are exposed to concentrated corrosive liquids for long periods.
Key Benefits
Suitable for brazing copper, steel, and brass alloys
Cadmium-free composition for safer brazing operations
Wide melting range supports variable joint clearances
Provides dependable alloy flow and joint formation
