Safety-Silv® 30 Brazing Alloy HARRIS

Safety-Silv® 30 brazing filler metal is primarily developed for brazing copper, brass, and steel components across industrial and HVAC applications. The alloy features a wider melting range, allowing it to perform well in situations where part clearance cannot be tightly controlled.

It is frequently selected as a cost-effective, cadmium-free alternative to higher silver content alloys while still delivering dependable brazed joint performance. During operation, the alloy should be heated rapidly through its melting range to prevent liquation and ensure uniform alloy behavior.

Corrosion resistance is generally similar to copper base metal performance, but alloys containing zinc should not be used in applications where joints are exposed to concentrated corrosive liquids for long periods.
