Product details
Safety-Silv® 56FC Brazing Alloy HARRIS
Safety-Silv® 56FC is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy formulated for joining copper, steel, and brass alloys in HVAC and industrial brazing applications. The alloy provides a plastic range of approximately 175°F (70°C), allowing dependable brazing performance even when joint fit-up conditions are not tightly controlled.
Its wide melting range supports filling of loose connections while still enabling penetration into tighter joints, making it suitable for fabrication, maintenance, and repair brazing work.
Corrosion resistance is generally similar to copper base metals, but zinc-containing alloys should not be used where brazed joints are exposed to concentrated corrosive liquids for extended periods.
