Safety-Silv® 56 Brazing Alloy HARRIS

Safety-Silv® 56 is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy formulated for joining copper, steel, and brass alloys in industrial and HVAC brazing applications. The alloy provides a plastic range of approximately 175°F (70°C), allowing dependable brazing performance even where joint fit-up cannot be tightly controlled.

Its wide melting range supports filling of loose connections while still providing effective penetration into tighter joints, making it suitable for fabrication, maintenance, and repair brazing operations.

Corrosion resistance is generally similar to copper base metals; however, zinc-containing alloys should not be used where brazed joints are exposed to concentrated corrosive liquids for extended periods.
