Product details
Safety-Silv® 45 Brazing Alloy HARRIS
Safety-Silv® 45 is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy suitable for joining copper, steel, and brass alloys in industrial and HVAC applications. The alloy offers a plastic range of approximately 175°F (70°C), allowing operators to work effectively in situations where joint fit-up may be less precise.
Its wider melting range helps fill joints where clearances are not tightly controlled, making it suitable for repair and fabrication work requiring dependable alloy flow and joint formation.
Corrosion resistance is generally comparable to copper base metals; however, zinc-containing alloys should not be used in applications where joints are exposed to concentrated corrosive liquids for extended periods.
