Description |
Stay Silv 15 brazing filler metal is a frequent choice for brazing copper, especially in brazing air conditioning and refrigeration connections. The alloy has a wide melting range which allows the operator to fill loose connections and “cap” or build up around the finished joint. When heated above its liquidus temperature, however, it will flow into tight connections. Stay Silv 15 can be used to braze brass with the use of appropriate brazing flux. Stay Silv 15 is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous metals due to sufficient lack of joint ductility. It is generally suitable for brazing low nickel, (10% maximum), copper/nickel base metals. |

Harris 15 Low Fuming Bronze is copper- zinc braze rod developed primarily to braze steel and some cast iron grades including malleable and grey iron. It can be used to join copper but due to the elevated melting temperature care must be taken during brazing to avoid overheating or melting the copper. It is used with the oxy-fuel process. Harris 15 is considered a “braze-welding” rod as this copper/zinc alloy exhibits minimal capillary action during brazing. This limits joint design primarily to lap, tee, and butt joints. Butt joints require some edge preparation typically incorporating beveled edges to provide a location for filler metal to be applied and to ensure alloy penetration to the joint root. To braze; heat the base metals to brazing temperature and manually deposit the rod along the joint. |
The QXAS-F41N450 is a high-performance rotary compressor designed for use in commercial and industrial HVAC systems, offering excellent cooling capacity and energy efficiency. |
Albraze flux is an all-purpose powder flux for use with bronze alloys such as Welco 15. This highly active flux can be used dry by dipping the heated rods into the powder or mixing with water. Applications include steels, cast irons and also copper base alloys. Residues may be removed with a hot water rinse leaving a bright, clean, strong and porosity free brazed joint. |
ALCoR® Zinc-aluminum brazing filler metals is designed for low temperature joining of aluminum base metals. Typical aluminum braze alloys melt and flow very close to the base metal melting temperature. ALCor’s lower operating temperatures reduces the possibility of overheating the aluminum part. |
The QXF-B095T170 is a high-performance scroll compressor known for its energy efficiency, reliability, and robust design. It is ideal for HVAC systems, commercial cooling applications, and refrigeration systems. |

Stay Silv 5 silver brazing filler metal designed for copper to copper applications. It can also be used on copper to low zinc brass but this application requires use of Stay Silv white brazing flux. Like many phosphorus/copper brazing filler metals Stay Silv 5 will flow rapidly when heated quickly to its liquidus. This allows penetration into tight clearance connections. With slower heating the alloy melting range provides the ability to filler wider gaps. Stay Silv 5 is often chosen as an economical alternative to higher silver content alloys for copper and brass applications. Stay Silv 5 is not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base |
