Cor-Al Flux Cored Aluminum Brazing Rod HARRIS

Cor-Al is a tubular aluminum flux-cored brazing rod developed for oxy-fuel brazing of aluminum base metals. The rod contains a precisely measured flux core that ensures reliable performance while eliminating the need for separate flux application.

For proper results, surfaces should be ground, beveled, and cleaned to remove grease, dirt, and oxide layers before brazing. During operation, a slightly carburizing flame is recommended, maintaining brazing action approximately 1 to 3 inches from the surface.

Small amounts of alloy should be deposited and allowed to flow evenly across the work area. For build-up applications, heat should be reduced and the flame directed slightly above the work area so molten filler metal flows smoothly into the joint. After use, rod ends should be crimped to protect the remaining flux core.
